Image TREPANATION
The process of boring a hole in the skull. The ancient Egyptians and Incas believed that trepanation would help them achieve a higher state of consciousness, and modern 'trepanators' still argue that the process allows for renewed brain pulsations, increasing the brain blood volume and hence improving brain function. It is obviously extremely dangerous and not recommended by most health professionals. There is also no evidence to show that it enhances brain function.
