Chiropractic medicine has elements of both traditional medicine and alternative. Muscle, bone, tendon and joint disorders that can have adverse effects on the nervous system are thought to improve through manipulation by rubbing, kneading and massage therapy. Both short term and long term relief is claimed to be the result. Chiropractors also may employ additional techniques and methods in their practice such as aromatherapy, acupuncture and other ancient eastern ideas.
