Image CHAKRA
Chakras are points located down the spine that are said to be areas of intense energy concentration. These areas are connected to major organs and bodily functions and it is claimed that through alternative medicine techniques, such as acupuncture and yoga, the areas can be manipulated to promote optimal functioning of the human body. There are seven chakra centers: sahasrara, ajna, vishudda, anahata, manipuraka, swadhisthana, and muladhara. Gemstones of specific color are often used in chakra therapy and place along the spine to promote positive changes to the energy flow at these chakra centers.
