THE FUTURE

In January 2002, the Young Skeptics Program celebrated its first anniversary. Its first year was one of extraordinary development and wonderful feedback from educators, parents, students and other supporters.

In our second year we hope to continue developing the Program but we also hope to take many of these developments into the educational arena, our surrounding communities and to the public at large.

Here we will keep you abreast of the programming and developments that are underway for the Young Skeptics Program and also the many ideas we are exploring further.

Please check back often for additions to our future.

To learn about many of the projects, materials and other developments we are exploring at this time, please visit the

PROGRAM NEWS & UPDATES

The Young Skeptics Program is currently awaiting news on a National Science Foundation grant to create grade 8 science curricular materials.

In March 2003, the Young Skeptics Program will join PhACT in attending the National Science Teachers Association convention in Philadelphia, PA.

The web site is under construction to allow improvements to be made and new material and exciting developments to be added.

Young Skeptics was launched in January 2001 as a web-based program. For the past two years the program has been evolving online through the guidance of professionals in science and education. It has involved the active participation of skeptics and science-enthusiasts throughout the world.

We now hope to move beyond the confines of cyberspace and take our materials and resources to all available outlets in society. CSICOP's educational initiatives, with our enthusiastic participation, will spearhead programs that serve to improve scientific literacy within our communities, promote critical thinking for all, and enrich the lives of everyone involved.

Please take a moment to visit the other areas on the Young Skeptics Web Site and see the developments underway. We encourage your comments and suggestions on how we might improve the program and welcome your participation in all areas.

Please contact us with any questions and comments.
